Year 7 pupils are learning about life as a Roman.

Your EDiT task is to imagine that you have an opportunity to travel back in time to Roman time. You will need to compare key features of life then to now including food, fashion, housing, jobs, the law and expectations and responsibilities; however you are more than welcome to find something additional to these.

Lifestyle choice

You can then decide on a lifestyle to lead:

• Peasant
• Councillor
• Citizen of Rome
• Soldier/Centurion

The decision is yours.

Now that you have investigated the life and times of your ‘new self’, you are to present your findings in a creative way.

Presentation

Use the information you have found to present in

• A Powerpoint/ICT based way
• A diary
• A leaflet/poster
• A documentary written and/or filmed
• Recipes cooked and tried
• A model made or artwork
• Any other creative way

When you hand in your EDiT task, you need to include sketches/notes of your ideas – these could be collated in a scrapbook or shown on a poster, or even presented on a PowerPoint!

Please hand the completed project into Mr McCourt by Friday 16th March
