Virtual holiday
Your EDiT task is to imagine that you are going on a virtual holiday.
You will need to choose your destination carefully and make sure that it is not a place you have visited so far.
You go on your virtual holiday by completing at least 5 of the tasks below:
Tasks
Cook a traditional dish and eat it (take photos and/or keep the recipes)
Dress up in a traditional dress and/or make or draw the ‘fashion’
Learn some of the native language
Research a folk tale
Research the national religions
Listen to traditional music
Learn about the flag and its origins
Translate your name into a traditional name
Research national sports/dances/traditions/festivals
Research famous individuals/land marks
Now that you have taken your virtual holiday, you are to present your findings in a creative way.
Presentation
Use the information you have found to present in
- A Powerpoint/ICT based way
- A diary
- A leaflet/poster/travel guide
- A documentary written and/or filmed
- Recipes cooked and tried
- A model made or artwork
- Photographs
- Any other creative way
When you hand in your EDiT task, you need to include sketches/notes of your ideas – these could be collated in a scrapbook or shown on a poster, or even presented on a PowerPoint!
Please hand the completed project into Mrs Compton-Stewart by Friday 16th March
