Visit France

Year 7 pupils learn French but how much do they know about France...

Your EDiT task is to write a travel brochure for a region in France.

You will need to:

• Choose a region of France ie Picardy, Normandy.
• Ensure a map showing the region is in your brochure. The brochure can have a focus e.g  food of the region or activities that can be done in that region for example skiing in the Pyrenees, food of a region.
• You can use photos from the internet but there must be at least one hand drawn picture.
• Labelling must be as per Geography pencil lines or computer drawn with print or ink for writing.
• The writing may be in English as the brochure is aimed at encouraging English tourists to visit France  however there must be some French included especially names of places, food etc.
• Those that are more interested in the language may provide French translation for some of the English.

Now that you have created your brochure, you are to present all your findings in a creative way.

Presentation

Use the information you have found to present in

• A Powerpoint/ICT based way (remember though that this is an French project and will need to contain the French language)
• A leaflet/poster
• Travel guide
• A documentary written and/or filmed
• Artwork
• Any other creative way

When you hand in your EDiT task, you need to include sketches/notes of your ideas and where you resourced the information – these could be collated in a scrapbook or shown on a poster, or even presented on a PowerPoint!

Please hand the completed project into Ms Cooper by Friday 16th March
